Where you'll shoot

Stand on the flagstone patio with the Indian Peaks behind you, then walk into the ponderosa forest for softer light. You can use both in one session, and the views change with the light.

A place for your portraits

Vista Amada is a place for photo sessions: your portraits, your court and your family, with a photographer, for an hour or two. Many families take their photos here in the weeks before the big day, so there's no rush on the day itself.

Planning tips

For the warmest light, book golden hour, the two hours before the sun goes behind the peaks. You can check the exact window for your date on our photo sessions page.

Big dresses and mountain ground: the patio is flagstone and the forest paths are dirt. Wear comfortable shoes between spots, and bring a friend or your mom to help carry the train.

Bring your tiara, a small sewing kit and a few safety pins. It can be breezy at 7,630 feet, so hairspray helps.

Mily speaks Spanish, so you can plan with us in Spanish or English. Bring your own photographer, or ask us for names of local photographers whose work we like.

Same rates as every photo session: from $150 an hour, golden hour from $250 an hour, with a two-hour minimum. See all rates.
