Daytime sessions

From $150 an hour

Soft, even light across the deck, patio and forest. A good fit for families with small children who won't make it to sunset, and for headshots, branding and quick portrait sessions.

Two-hour minimum

Golden hour

From $250 an hour

The two hours before sunset, when the light goes warm and the Divide glows behind you, and the hour around sunrise, when the first sun lights up the snow on the peaks. This is the light most photographers ask for.

We'll send the exact window for your date

Mini-session days

Photographers running holiday or seasonal mini sessions can book a longer block for back-to-back families. Tell us how many families you're planning and how long each one runs, and we'll quote the block.

Popular from October through December

Only your group books the property during your session. Bring your own photographer, or ask us for names of photographers who already know the house.

Where you'll shoot

Holiday cards, family portraits, engagement and couples sessions, proposals, senior and graduation photos, maternity. Most sessions move between a few spots without ever getting back in the car.

How booking works

  1. Send us a date

    Tell us roughly when, how many people will be in the photos, and whether you're after golden hour.

  2. We confirm the time

    We'll reply with availability, the price for your session, and the light window for that day.

  3. Come on up

    We send arrival and parking details before your session. The property is ready when you get here.

Genesee sits at 7,733 feet, and mountain weather changes fast, so bring a layer even in summer.

Elk and deer pass through often. We can't book them for you, but they do tend to show up.
